At SRA Ventures, we continually seek innovative solutions to address real-world challenges faced by businesses and communities across Scotland. One of our latest projects, Micro Yards, is doing precisely that.
Developed at Mill Road Industrial Estate in Linlithgow, Micro Yards combines the flexibility of self-storage with the practical benefits of a private yard. Each unit includes a secure, fenced 280 sq ft plot and a premium one-trip container, providing space for tools, stock, vehicles, and bulky items.
Since launch, Micro Yards has quickly become a smarter, more flexible storage option for West Lothian. To showcase how this new model supports various types of businesses and residents, we have published a series of detailed blogs that explore the numerous ways Micro Yards can be utilised.

Why It Matters
Micro Yards was born from a simple observation: traditional storage options are either too small, too expensive, or not secure enough for many local businesses. By combining container storage with outdoor yard space, we created a middle ground that works for trades, online sellers, homeowners, and vehicle owners.
With triple-layer security, 24/7 access, and monthly rental flexibility, Micro Yards is already helping West Lothian businesses and residents cut costs, save time, and reduce theft risks.
What’s Next
SRA Ventures continues to back Micro Yards as it scales, with demand already coming from across West Lothian and beyond. We’ll be publishing more case studies, updates, and insights as this model develops and as more people discover the benefits of private yard-based storage.
